 On Wednesday evening, Vic Hill inserted Oakwood, Ill., pilot Bobby Pierce into his Vic Hill Racing No. 1 Late Model at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) for the seventh round of the Castrol FloRacing Night in America mini-series. With 28 Late Models entered, Pierce’s third-place finish in his heat race placed him ninth on the starting grid for the $10,000-to-win A-Main. After electing to start at the tail, Bobby was an early retiree from the 40-lapper. (Josh James Artwork)
