July 25, 2020 - Vic Hill lands Top 5 finish in Southern Nationals finale at Tazewell |
Vic Hill returned with the Schaeffer’s Southern Nationals on Friday evening at 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tenn.) to compete in the final two rounds of the 12-race miniseries at two tracks in the Volunteer State. In a field of 26 cars, Hill fell one spot short of a transfer position in his heat with a fifth place finish, transferring him into the B-Main. Picking up a 10-lap consolation win over Riley Hickman, Vic locked into the 17th-starting position for the main event. With $10,053 on the line, Hill improved six spots in the 53-lapper to place 11th.
The following night at Tazewell Speedway (Tazewell, Tenn.), Vic came in sixth fastest in his group before placing third in his heat. Starting the $10,053-to-win finale in 12th, Hill advanced forward eight spots to register a fourth place finish behind Dakotah Knuckles, Michael Chilton, and Ryan King with Brandon Overton coming in fifth. On Monday afternoon at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) for the third round of the Schaeffer’s Southern Nationals slate, Vic locked his spot into the $3,500-to-win A-Main with the fastest time in his qualifying group. After sliding ahead polesitter Chris Madden for the lead on the second lap, Hill led the next five circuits until Madden regained the top spot. July 11, 2020 - Hill opens Southern Nationals slate with Top 10 finish at SMS |
Friday night saw Vic Hill in action at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.) to kick off the Schaeffer’s Southern Nationals. In a field of 35 cars, Hill followed up the eighth fastest time in his qualifying group with a second place finish in his heat behind Tyler Millwood. On Saturday afternoon at Wythe Raceway (Rural Retreat, Va.) for another $10,053-to-win A-Main, Vic posted a third place finish in his heat, which positioned him sixth on the starting grid for the main event. Running into trouble early, Hill was an early retiree from the 53-lapper on lap 19 while running in the Top 10.

July 4, 2020 - Vic Hill bags a pair of seventh place finishes with Iron-Man Series |
On Friday evening Vic Hill was one of 20 Schaeffer’s Iron-Man Series entries on hand at Tazewell Speedway (Tazewell, Tenn.) for the Firecracker 40. Recording the fastest time in his qualifying group, Hill locked into the second-starting position for the $5,000-to-win A-Main. Jumping into the lead on the drop of the green flag, Vic led the first 23 circuits till him and another competitor tangle while battling for the top spot. Rebounding late in the 40-lapper, Hill salvaged a seventh place finish.
The following night at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) for the Independence 40, Vic secured his spot into the A-Main with the fourth fastest time in his group. With $5,000 on the line in the feature, Hill improved one spot in the 40-lap affair to place seventh.
